The Santa Bárbara Tunnel will be closed for maintenance work - Disclosure/CET-Rio The Santa Bárbara Tunnel will be closed for maintenance, in the Santo Cristo direction, from 11:30 pm this Wednesday (January 11st) to 5 am on Thursday (January 12nd). The tunnel in the Laranjeiras direction will operate normally.
The Rebouças Tunnel will be closed during the early hours of Thursday (March 12th), from 1 am to 5 am, in the direction of Lagoa, for maintenance. During the closure, vehicle traffic will follow a reversible lane to the left in the direction of the city center, operating towards the South Zone. The other two lanes will operate in the direction of the city center.
The Zuzu Angel and Acústico Rafael Mascarenhas tunnels will be closed in the direction of São Conrado, during the early hours of Thursday (March 12th), from 1 am to 5 am, for maintenance work. The main alternative route is Avenida Niemeyer.
The lower deck of the Elevado das Bandeiras will be closed in the direction of São Conrado, from 11 pm this Wednesday (March 11th) to 4:30 am on Thursday (March 12th) for maintenance. The Barra da Tijuca-São Conrado connection will be made via the upper deck.
Specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers. CET-Rio operators will monitor traffic conditions and intervene if necessary. In addition, traffic light timings will be adjusted to improve traffic flow on the detour route and main corridors in the affected areas.
