Rebouças, Acústico and Zuzu Angel tunnels will be closed for revitalization works

Rafael Mascarenhas Acoustic Tunnel to be closed for renovation works - Marcos de Paula/City of Rio CET-Rio and the Municipal Infrastructure Department (SMI) inform that, this Monday (21/8), the Zuzu Angel and Acústico Rafael Mascarenhas tunnels will be closed in the direction of São Conrado, from 22:30 pm to 5:30 am, for the execution of revitalization works. The main option for detour is Avenida Niemeyer.
The Rebouças Tunnel galleries, towards the Center, will be closed for the works from 22 pm to 5 am. The galleries in the opposite direction will operate with one reversible lane (the one on the left) towards the Center and two traffic lanes towards Lagoa.
Traffic conditions will be monitored for potential impacts. In addition, traffic light timings will be adjusted to improve fluidity on the diversion route and on the region's main corridors.
