Rebouças and José Alencar tunnels and Elevado das Bandeiras will be closed for maintenance

During the closure, vehicle traffic will follow a reversible lane to the left in the direction of the South Zone - Disclosure/City Hall The Rebouças Tunnel tunnels, heading towards Lagoa, will be closed this Thursday (July 10th) from 7:23 pm to 30:5 am for maintenance work. The tunnels in the opposite direction will operate with one reversible lane, on the left, heading towards the city center. The other two lanes will be open towards Lagoa.
The Vice-President of the Republic José Alencar Tunnel will be closed in the direction of Barra da Tijuca from 23 p.m. to 4 a.m. for maintenance and cleaning work. Vehicles traveling in the closed direction will be detoured via Serra da Grota Funda (Avenida Artur Xexéo). BRT buses heading towards Barra will travel along the opposite gallery lane. Buses originally traveling along the Santa Cruz lane will continue in the common lane.
The lower deck of the Elevado das Bandeiras will be closed today in the direction of São Conrado, from 23 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., for maintenance. The Barra da Tijuca-São Conrado connection will be via the upper deck.
At all scheduled closures, specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers, and CET-Rio operators will monitor traffic conditions and intervene if necessary. Furthermore, traffic signal timings will be adjusted to ensure smooth traffic flow on detour routes and main corridors in the region.
Programming may be suspended at any time due to weather conditions or city operational issues.
