Rebouças and José Alencar tunnels will be closed for maintenance

Vice-President José Alencar Tunnel to be closed for maintenance - Archive/Rio City Hall The Rebouças Tunnel galleries, in the direction of Lagoa, will be closed this Thursday (29/5), from 23:30 pm to 5 am, for maintenance services. The galleries in the opposite direction will operate with a reversible lane, on the left in the direction of Zona Sul. The other two traffic lanes, in the direction of Centro.
The Vice-President José Alencar Tunnel will be closed in the direction of Barra da Tijuca from 23 pm to 4 am for maintenance work. Vehicles in the closed direction will be diverted via Serra da Grota Funda (Avenida Artur Xexéo). BRT buses heading towards Barra will travel along the opposite gallery lane. Buses originally traveling along the lane towards Santa Cruz will continue on the lane common to all vehicles.
Elevation of the Flags
The lower deck of the Elevado das Bandeiras will be closed from 23:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. in the direction of São Conrado for maintenance. The Barra da Tijuca-São Conrado connection will be made via the upper deck of the Elevado das Bandeiras. CET-Rio agents will be on site to guide drivers.
Specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers, and CET-Rio operators will monitor traffic conditions and take action if necessary. In addition, traffic light times will be adjusted to ensure fluidity on diversion routes and main corridors in the regions.
Programming may be suspended at any time due to weather conditions or city operational issues.
