The Santa Bárbara, José Alencar, Acústico, and Zuzu Angel tunnels will be closed for maintenance.

Rafael Mascarenhas Acoustic Tunnel - Marcos de Paula/City of Rio The Santa Bárbara Tunnel will be closed for maintenance, in the Laranjeiras direction, from 11:30 pm this Thursday (March 12th) to 5 am on Friday (March 13th). The tunnel in the Santo Cristo direction will operate normally.
The Zuzu Angel and Acústico Rafael Mascarenhas tunnels will be closed in the direction of São Conrado from 23 PM this Thursday to 5 AM on Friday for maintenance work. The main alternative route is Avenida Niemeyer.
The Vice-President of the Republic José Alencar Tunnel will be closed, in the direction of Barra da Tijuca, from 23 PM this Thursday to 4 AM on Friday, for maintenance. Vehicles heading towards Barra will be diverted via Serra da Grota Funda (Avenida Artur Xexéo).
BRT buses heading towards Barra will use the opposite lane. Buses that normally use the lane heading towards Santa Cruz will continue on the common lane used by all vehicles.
The lower level of the Elevado das Bandeiras viaduct will be closed in the direction of São Conrado from 23 PM this Thursday to 4:30 AM on Friday for maintenance. The Barra da Tijuca-São Conrado connection will be made via the upper level.
Specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers. CET-Rio operators will be monitoring traffic conditions and will intervene if necessary. In addition, traffic light timings will be adjusted to improve traffic flow on the detour route and main corridors in the affected areas.
