Zuzu Angel and Acústico Rafael Mascarenhas tunnels will be closed this Tuesday

CET-Rio and the Municipal Infrastructure Department inform that this Tuesday (13/06) the Zuzu Angel and Acústico Rafael Mascarenhas tunnels will be closed in both directions to allow for revitalization works and maintenance services. The closures will occur as follows:

-Towards São Conrado, from 22:30 pm to 5:30 am.

-Towards Gávea, from 23:50 pm to 4:30 am.

As Avenida Niemeyer is the main diversion route for both directions of tunnel closures, traffic operations will be intensified and vehicle flow will be monitored. Traffic light timings will be adjusted to improve fluidity on the diversion route and on the main corridors in the region.

In addition, CET-Rio trailers will be positioned to immediately clear the roads in the event of accidents or vehicle breakdowns.
