Zuzu Angel Tunnel to be closed for routine maintenance - Archive/City of Rio CET-Rio informs that, this Wednesday (1/6), the Zuzu Angel and Acústico Rafael Mascarenhas tunnels will be completely closed, in the direction of São Conrado, from 23:50 pm to 4:30 am, for routine maintenance. The galleries in the direction of Gávea will be operating normally.
The main diversion route is Avenida Niemeyer, which will operate in both directions.
Specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers, and traffic conditions will be monitored for potential impacts. In addition, traffic light timings will be adjusted to improve fluidity on the diversion route and on the region's main corridors.
This program may be suspended at any time due to weather conditions or operational issues in the city.
