Zuzu Angel and Acústico tunnels will be closed for maintenance services

The Rafael Mascarenhas Acoustic Tunnel will be closed in the direction of Gávea for maintenance services - Rio City Hall CET-Rio informs that, starting this Tuesday (24/5), the Zuzu Angel Tunnel and the Rafael Mascarenhas Acoustic Tunnel will be closed for maintenance as follows:
Until July 28th, from Sunday to Thursday, from 7pm to 22am, the two tunnels will be closed in the direction of Gávea. To enable routine maintenance, on Wednesdays, June 5st, June 1th, June 6th, July 15th and July 6th, the tunnels will be closed only in the direction of São Conrado.
The main option for a diversion is Avenida Niemeyer, which will operate as a two-way traffic route.
Specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers. Traffic conditions will be monitored for potential impacts. In addition, traffic light timings will be adjusted to improve fluidity on the detour route and on the region's main corridors.
This Monday (23/5), the Zuzu Angel and Acústico Rafael Mascarenhas tunnels will be completely closed, in the direction of Gávea, from 23:50 pm to 4:30 am, for routine maintenance services.
This program may be suspended at any time due to weather conditions or operational issues in the city.
