Rebouças Tunnel and Itamar Franco Elevated Road will be closed for maintenance

Maintenance of the Rebouças Tunnel - Marcelo Piu/City of Rio The Rebouças Tunnel will be closed from 10 PM this Tuesday (November 25th), in the direction of Lagoa, for maintenance. Reopening is scheduled for 5 AM this Wednesday (November 26th). During the closure, traffic will follow a reversible lane to the left in the direction of Centro, operating towards Lagoa. The other two lanes will operate in the direction of Centro.
CET-Rio agents will be stationed at strategic points monitoring traffic conditions and ready to intervene if necessary. Technicians working at the Operations and Resilience Center (COR) will monitor the roads and, if needed, adjust traffic light timings. Variable message signs will inform drivers of road closures and alternative routes.

The Presidente Itamar Franco Elevated Highway and the Luiz Jacques de Moraes and Paulo César Marcellino Figueiredo tunnels will be closed from 23 PM this Tuesday until 4:30 AM on Wednesday for maintenance. The alternative route for drivers will be via the upper deck of the Bandeiras Elevated Highway, which will be operating in the direction of Barra da Tijuca.
Specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers. CET-Rio operators will monitor traffic conditions and respond to any potential impacts.
