CET-Rio informs that the Rebouças Tunnel will be closed on Thursday (November 6th), in the direction of Lagoa, starting at 11 PM — 30 minutes earlier than usual — for special maintenance work on the tunnels, due to the fire that occurred this morning. Reopening is scheduled for 5 AM this Friday (November 7th).
During the closure, vehicle traffic will follow a reversible lane to the left in the direction of the city center, operating towards the lagoon. The other two lanes will operate in the opposite direction, towards the city center. Specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers.
CET-Rio agents will be stationed at strategic points monitoring traffic conditions and ready to intervene if necessary. Technicians working at the Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio) will monitor the roads and, if needed, adjust traffic light timings.
Variable message signs will inform users of the closure and provide alternative routes.
