Santa Cruz roads will be closed for the Ternium Race on Sunday (10/26)

CET-Rio informs that, on Sunday (26/10), roads in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, in the West Zone, will be closed to enable the 10K, 5K and 3K Ternium 2025 Runs.

The closures will be implemented from 7 am to 9 am, or until the last corridor passes, depending on the section.

PROHIBITIONS

Sunday (26 / 10)

From 7am to 9am (or until the last runner passes):

– Medeiros e Albuquerque Street, in the section between Ruão Square and Senador Camará Street;

– Senador Camará Street, at the junction with Medeiros and Albuquerque Streets;

– Rua do Prado, at the junction with Rua do Império;

– Rua do Império, in the section between Rua Senador Camará and Rua Campeiro Mor.

From 7:10 to XNUMX:XNUMX:

Closure of a lane during the passage of competitors, on the following roads:

– Rua do Império, towards the Santa Cruz Air Base, in the section between Rua Campeiro Mor and Rua Tenente César;

– Prado Júnior Street, towards Areia Branca, in the section between Empire Street and São Tomé Street;

– Rua São Tomé, even-numbered side, in the section between Rua Vitor Dumas and Rua do Matadouro.

CET-Rio agents, Municipal Guards, military police and traffic directors will work at roadblocks, pedestrian crossings and directing vehicle traffic, ensuring road safety and fluidity during the event.

CET-Rio technicians, at the Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio), will monitor all traffic movement through cameras, so that, if necessary, adjustments can be made to the traffic light schedule, with the aim of ensuring good road conditions throughout the operation.

IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS

– Drivers are advised to use alternative routes and, if possible, move their journeys forward.

– Pedestrians must cross in safe, signposted locations.

– It is important that everyone follows the instructions of traffic officers and the signs installed in the area.

– The use of public transport as a means of transport.
