Avenida Brasil: time restrictions for truck circulation postponed

Avenida Brasil - Rio City Hall The Rio City Hall Operations Center (COR) informs that the time restrictions for trucks to circulate on Avenida Brasil, announced by CET-Rio for March 16, will be postponed. The changes were always intended to improve traffic flow on the city's main road and their planning was based on studies on the flow of heavy vehicles on Avenida Brasil.
Despite the importance of the measure, the City of Rio understands that, given the impact of the changes, more time is needed to discuss with all those involved in this complex operation, especially truck drivers and other professionals in the cargo sector. New meetings will be scheduled with representatives of these categories to further discuss the changes, which – as is already happening in São Paulo, Curitiba and several cities around the world – can bring benefits to everyone.
