Avenida Niemeyer will be partially closed to modernize public lighting

CET-Rio informs that, between August 18 (Wednesday) and August 08 (Thursday), with the exception of August 26 (Friday), from 08:20 p.m. to 08:22 a.m. the following day, Niemeyer Avenue will be partially closed for Rioluz to modernize public lighting services, through the Smart Luz consortium. To make the procedure feasible, it will be necessary to close half a lane along the stretch between the São Conrado and Leblon waterfronts.

The closures will be itinerant and in sections, starting near the São Conrado waterfront.

Vehicles will be diverted on the lane itself, in the narrow section, in a “stop and go” operation, in order to maintain two-way traffic.

Specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers and traffic conditions will be monitored for possible impacts.
