The COR app will speed up response to incidents in the city - Reproduction The Rio Operations Center (COR) launched an internal application on Monday (25/01) to speed up the exchange of information between City Hall teams, concessionaires and COR itself, speeding up the city's response to citizens. The tool, currently in the testing phase, is aimed solely at municipal employees, who will report and monitor incidents such as fallen trees, water pockets on roads, vehicle fires, among others, directly to the Operations Center system.
In addition to the report, it is possible to attach images and indicate whether the severity of the problem was low, medium, high or critical. Currently, reports are made via text messaging applications, such as WhatsApp.
For the new executive chief of COR, Bruno Ramos, with the technological innovation, the Operations Center gains autonomy in the exchange of operational information.
– Both in the city’s day-to-day life and in times of crisis, being agile is essential to minimize the impact on the lives of Rio residents. With the app, we will have more advanced monitoring of the Operations Center. We will be able to speed up the flow of information that the COR receives and passes on to operational departments. The goal is to speed up the City Hall’s rapid response – he highlighted.
Initially, the eight sub-prefectures will use the application to monitor and report incidents to the COR. In the future, all municipal employees will have a login and password to access the tool.
In addition to reporting incidents to the Operations Center, users will also be able to view information about the city, such as the weather forecast, the operational status of the municipality, open incidents in the COR system and alerts issued to the population. All this in the palm of their hand.
