Photo: Paulo Sérgio / Rio City Hall The City of Rio, through COR – Rio Operations Center and TAXI.RIO CIDADES, a service of IplanRio – Municipal IT Company linked to the Municipal Finance Department, will begin to intensify the sending of emergency messages to drivers starting in October. This measure aims to minimize the impacts caused by the rains in Rio.
The category will receive alerts triggered by COR. The messages will be sent to the fleet that is on the street. COR will send information about weather and traffic conditions. Through TAXI.RIO CIDADES, taxi drivers
Those who use the app not only receive warnings from the Operations Center but can also send reports of flooding, fallen trees and other occurrences that may impact traffic.
In recent days, COR has also partnered with Uber to send geolocated alerts through the app for drivers and delivery people. This is fast, quality information with a single goal: to protect and
help keep Rio moving.
