Photo: Disclosure/SMTE Registration for the free entrepreneurship course aimed exclusively at the LGBTQIA+ community in situations of social vulnerability begins on Monday (02/06). Promoted by the Municipal Secretariat of Labor and Income (SMTE), in partnership with the Sexual Diversity Coordination (CEDS), the course is free. Registration is open until the 13th.
The idea is to promote financial autonomy and strengthen small businesses through inclusive entrepreneurial education. The course uses the international By Necessity methodology, applied in 28 countries and responsible for training more than 172 thousand people. The course will last five days, with three-hour in-person classes daily, from 18 pm to 21 pm, between June 23 and 27, at UDES (Praça da República, 139, Centro).
– With this course, Rio de Janeiro City Hall reaffirms its commitment to productive inclusion, diversity and the fight against social inequalities. We have already opened three Entrepreneur Rooms to encourage the development of small business owners -, says the municipal secretary of Labor and Income, Manoel Vieira.
During the course, fundamental topics such as financial management, cash flow and pricing, marketing and brand positioning will be covered. In addition, participants will be entitled to three months of free consulting with experts; creation of a personalized logo for their business; a transportation card worth five days' travel (round trip) and meals at the course location. But please note: to receive the transportation card, the student must prove socioeconomic vulnerability.
– These supports were designed considering the extremely vulnerable profile of the participants, with a focus on reducing access barriers and also tackling food insecurity that affects a large part of the LGBTQIA+ population in situations of social exclusion -, says Diana Conrado, CEDS coordinator.
