Comlurb takes the 'Responsible Community' program to Copacabana, in the Tabajaras community.

On Friday morning (May 29th), Comlurb carried out the "Community Responsibility" program in Tabajaras, Copacabana, in the city's South Zone. Around 100 sanitation workers cleaned gutters, stairways, and slopes, using mountaineering techniques and rappelling techniques, in addition to hydraulic washing with reused water, sweeping, mowing, weeding, and removal of debris. 15 new high-capacity containers were installed. The services took place in streets, alleys, and lanes of the community.
Our communities are already well served, with daily cleaning, but the program provides an extra boost to services, in addition to encouraging awareness. The installation of new, large-capacity containers is also fundamental for the communities to be even cleaner and for waste to be properly managed," explains the president of Comlurb, Renato Rodrigues, adding that the company's technical team inspects the region before the operation, looking for areas that still need attention.
The "Chegando de Surpresa" group, made up of sanitation workers who use music and dance in awareness campaigns, participated in the event and instructed residents on the proper disposal of waste.
Bringing the "Community Responsibility" program to Tabajaras is a direct investment in the quality of life of the residents. The installation of containers and the reinforcement of cleaning services help to keep the streets more organized, prevent the irregular disposal of waste, and contribute to reducing the impact on days of heavy rain. It is an action that combines urban conservation, awareness, and care for the community," said Pedro Angelito, sub-mayor of the South Zone, who accompanied the services along with the Director of Urban Cleaning, Alexandre Campos, and the Regional Superintendent of the South Zone, Danielle Costa.
