Comlurb prepares special cleaning operation for celebrations in honor of Saint George

Comlurb has set up a special cleaning program for the festivities in honor of Saint George, this Wednesday (23/04), in the vicinity of the two main parishes, both in the main church in Quintino and in the city center. In Quintino, Comlurb will have 36 street cleaners and six urban cleaning agents, who will perform general cleaning, sweeping and removing waste, in addition to hydraulic cleaning with soap and reused water. The service will be carried out on Clarimundo de Melo Street and surrounding streets, and will begin at 6 am, with the work expected to be completed by Thursday morning.

Vehicles and equipment will include trucks, compactors and dump trucks, as well as water tankers and large sweepers. On Tuesday, starting at 14:XNUMX p.m., the main road and secondary roads will receive pre-cleaning services to prepare the stage for the celebration of the faithful. The Company will provide large-capacity containers to facilitate correct disposal by the faithful.

In the city center, a pre-cleaning will be carried out between the end of Tuesday night and the early hours of Wednesday, throughout the parish, including Rua da Alfândega, Praça da República and Avenida Presidente Vargas. The work includes hydraulic cleaning of the streets, including reinforcement with two water tankers, and spraying of eucalyptus essence, with 17 street cleaners and three urban cleaning agents.

Cleaning will be maintained throughout Wednesday, in three shifts, with another 48 street cleaners and six urban cleaning agents, extending until the early hours of Thursday. Waste removal trucks and a sweeper will support the operation. The Company will provide containers for the correct disposal of waste by the faithful.
