CITY HALL OBTAINS INJUNCTION PREVENTING THE STATE GOVERNMENT FROM WITHHOLDING ISS

The Rio de Janeiro City Hall, through the City Attorney General's Office (PGM), obtained a preliminary injunction in court, preventing the State Government from withholding quotas of the Tax on Services (ISS). This year alone, more than R$50 million in ISS has already been withheld by the State.

MUNICIPALITY ANNOUNCES ANTI-RABIES VACCINATION OF DOGS AND CATS AND OPENS REGISTRATION FOR SERVANTS WHO WANT TO WORK IN THE CAMPAIGN

The Undersecretariat of Surveillance, Health Inspection and Zoonosis Control will carry out the anti-rabies vaccination campaign from October to December 2020. To this end, the department, linked to the Municipal Health Department, opened registrations from this Thursday (20/08) until September 18 for municipal employees who want to work as vaccinators in the program “Se liga, bicho! Rabies is a serious case”. The call was published in the Official Gazette on Wednesday (19/08). Employees with various backgrounds, education levels and from any department of the direct administration can participate, except for employees of the indirect administration, such as Comlurb, Municipal Guard and other autarchies.

NEW TRAFFIC CLOSURES FOR TRANSBRASIL WORKS

CET-Rio informs about the NEW closures that will occur to make the TRANSBRASIL works viable. The extended interventions and the old ones, which are still in progress, will also be presented.

The operations will involve the participation of traffic operators, including CET-Rio agents, the Municipal Guard and outsourced workers, who will work to maintain fluidity, guide drivers and set up roadblocks during the interventions. In addition, specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers.

COMLURB PROMOTED MORE SPECIAL CLEANING OPERATIONS IN CITY COMMUNITIES

Comlurb is carrying out more special sanitation operations this Thursday (20/08) in several communities in the city. The initiative, which began in Rocinha on 9/4 and aims to reduce the risk of contamination by the new coronavirus, has already been extended to all 633 communities in the city. The cleaning is done with recycled water and neutral detergent, and hypochlorite in the sprayers.
