Coronavirus: See the measures adopted by Rio de Janeiro City Hall this Monday (17/08) against the pandemic

UPDATE ON THE NUMBER OF COVID-19 BEDS AND OCCUPANCY RATE IN THE CAPITAL'S SUS NETWORK

The Municipal Health Department reports that the municipal network has 881 beds for Covid-19. Of this total, 251 are ICU beds. The number of specialized beds in the network is greater than the demand for hospitalizations for treatment of the disease.

The occupancy rate of ICU beds for Covid-19 in the SUS network – which includes beds in municipal, state and federal units – in the municipality is 62%. The occupancy rate in ward beds is 40%.

BUS GARAGES OPERATED AND 33 LINES RETURN TO CIRCULAR SERVICES

In the early hours of Monday (17), the Municipal Department of Transportation, through the newly created Emergency Executive Committee for the readjustment of the city's bus lines, carried out a major operation in the companies' garages, focusing on lines that had been complained about due to inoperability and circulation with a reduced fleet, irregularities that worsened during the pandemic. The action resulted in the resumption of operations on 33 regular lines.

NIGHTTIME CLOSURE OF TUNNELS IN THE SOUTH ZONE THIS MONDAY AND TUESDAY

CET-Rio will close the Zuzu Angel and Acústico Rafael Mascarenhas de Morais tunnels, towards Gávea, and the Santa Barbara tunnel, towards Laranjeiras, from 17:08 pm to 23:50 am on Monday (04/30) for maintenance and cleaning. On Tuesday (18/08), at the same time, the Paulo de Frontin Elevated Highway (the section corresponding to the Rufino Pizarro and Freyssinet Viaducts) will be closed towards the city center.

CITY HALL WILL PAY HOUSING ALLOWANCE AND MEDICATION ALLOWANCE FOR MUNICIPAL SERVANTS THIS TUESDAY (18)

The Rio City Hall, through the Municipal Social Security and Assistance Institute (Previ-Rio), will deposit another batch of benefits this Tuesday (18). 52 Housing Aid credits will be paid, totaling R$11.249,68, and 207 Medication Aid credits, totaling R$44.782,38.

It is worth noting that welfare benefits for active employees, pensioners and retirees can be requested on the Institute's website (http://previ.rio).
