A digital stroll”, aimed at promoting digital citizenship, ethics, privacy and data protection, received the SEIM Integrating Actions Award, presented on Tuesday (June 2nd). The award ceremony took place during the Metropolitan Integration Seminar, an event that brought together, at the Carlos Gomes Theater, specialists, public managers and representatives of civil society to discuss topics related to the security and data protection of children and adolescents.
The "And now? A digital stroll" project, a result of a partnership between the Secretariat of Integrity and Transparency, the Municipal Secretariat of Education, and MultiRio, aims to strengthen the training of young people for more conscious and responsible action in the digital environment. The initiative combines a gamified platform and a guidance manual for teachers, promoting learning through interactive and contextualized experiences.
Through RPG games, comic books, and cartoons, the project's content is presented in language accessible to children and young people to stimulate reflection on online behavior, digital coexistence, and the consequences of actions on social media.
In addition to encouraging the responsible use of technology, the award-winning initiative contributes to the prevention of cyberbullying, systematic online intimidation, and other forms of harassment in the digital environment, aligning with legal obligations to promote safe environments for children and adolescents.
Created in 2025 by the Special Secretariat for Metropolitan Integration (SEIM), the SEIM Integrating Actions Award aims to give visibility to initiatives that generate a positive impact on territories, strengthening integration between municipalities and encouraging the construction of collaborative solutions to common challenges.
The recognition received by “And now? A digital stroll” highlights the importance of innovative actions focused on digital education and reinforces the commitment of partner institutions to the civic education of new generations in an increasingly connected context. The award also recognized the Safe School Program, conducted by the Municipal Department of Education (SME).
