Team from the Special Secretariat for Policies and Promotion of Women visits the Acari Olympic Village

The Special Secretariat for Women's Policies and Promotion made a technical visit to Vila Olímpica Clara Nunes, in Acari, this Friday (12/02). The objective was to coordinate the first steps of the Mulher Cidadã project, which aims to present the services offered by the municipality to this public, in addition to holding free and in-person workshops and training for those registered in the call for volunteer activities published on the secretariat's channels and social networks. The intention is for women to share their knowledge, forming a network for exchange and learning in several areas: educational, artistic and socializing.

The SPM-Rio team and the Secretary, Joyce Trindade, were received by professionals from the Sports Department and the Clara Nunes Olympic Village:

– We will have several new developments in the village, several joint projects. Joyce, whatever attractions and projects you can bring us, we will be waiting – said the Secretary of Sports and Leisure, Guilherme Schleder.

The visit focused on getting to know the space that will be given to Mulher Cidadã. Many ideas and proposals for the project emerged during the meeting.

– We are super excited about this partnership, it will be a great project for us to promote and build several futures with the women of our city and, especially, of Acari. Let's build together – said the Secretary of Policies and Promotion of Women, Joyce Trindade.

The space's employees showed interest in the visit and the project:

– Any and all training initiatives have a positive impact, due to the lack of actions like this in this territory – says Professor Julinho.

The village coordinator and social worker also accompanied the visit.
