The Favela com Dignidade program has already promoted 26 joint community actions with free services for the population - Rio City Hall

Residents of Realengo, in the West Zone, will have a busy day next Saturday (27/4), when the Community Action Department will hold another edition of the Favela com Dignidade program. The integrated action, with the presence of several departments and municipal agencies, will offer multiple free services such as registration for the Minha Casa, Minha Vida Program, vaccinations, guidance on CadÚnico, school enrollment, exemption from duplicate documents, among others. The action will take place from 2 am to 9 pm, in front of the Vila Santo Antônio Residents Association. The address is Rua Pedro Gomes, 15, in Parque Ideal, in Realengo.

– Favela com Dignidade is the City Hall serving and caring for the people who need it most, offering multiple free public services. On the same day and at the same location, residents will be able to resolve various issues more quickly – stated the Secretary of Community Action Marlí Peçanha.

In addition to the services that will be offered during the community action, the City Hall has already initiated some interventions to improve the quality of life in the region. These include maintenance of the lighting system, wire-cutting operations, with the removal of loose and unused wires, replacement of manhole covers, street cleaning and weeding. These works are being carried out by Rioluz, the Municipal Conservation Department and Comlurb.

Favela com Dignidade aims to guarantee and facilitate access to public services for communities with lower Social Development Indexes, providing better living conditions for residents of these locations. Implemented in 2021, the initiative has already promoted 26 joint community actions, with 38.554 direct services.
