Guards arrest man with stolen cell phone at Flamengo Park.

Guards from the Special Operations Group (GOE) escorted a 31-year-old man to the 9th DP (Catete) police station in the South Zone in the early hours of Tuesday (August 25th), after he was caught in Aterro do Flamengo with a cell phone that had been reported stolen.

This was the second such incident recorded in the region this month. On the 12th, GOE teams detained another man who was also in possession of a cell phone reported stolen in Flamengo Park.

The teams were patrolling the area when they approached the suspect and found a cell phone in his possession that was listed as restricted in the Secure Cell Phone system. The man could not explain the origin of the device.

Given the facts, he was arrested and taken to the 9th Police Station (Catete), where the case was registered. The cell phone was also seized and taken to the police station.
