Guards arrest air conditioner thief in downtown Rio.

The device was taken from a restaurant on Avenida Rio Branco - Press Release Municipal guards from the Special Operations Group (GOE) arrested a 29-year-old man in the act of stealing an air conditioning unit from a restaurant located at Avenida Rio Branco, nº 151, in the early hours of this Thursday (8/6) in the central region of the city.
During questioning, the suspect initially stated that he had found the device in a trash can. However, he subsequently confessed to the theft. He was taken to the 4th Police Station (Presidente Vargas), where the case was registered.
The teams also went to the building where the restaurant operates and confirmed that the equipment was missing.
