The Municipal Secretariat for Youth of Rio de Janeiro (JUVRio) is accepting applications for 330 places in free courses at the Casa da Juventude Centro, located in Gamboa. The training programs are aimed at young people who wish to gain professional qualifications, develop new skills, or start their own business. Available courses include Barbering, Hair Removal, Eyebrow Design, Braiding, Music Production, Makeup, Nail Design, and Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS).

The Barbering, Hair Removal, Eyebrow Design, Braiding, Music Production, Makeup, and Nail Design courses last one month, with theoretical and practical classes held twice a week. The LIBRAS (Brazilian Sign Language) course lasts two months, with classes held twice a week.

The classes offer 50 places, except for the Music Production course, which has 20 places available. All materials used during the activities are provided free of charge by the Youth Center. At the end of the course, students who have at least 75% attendance will receive a certificate of completion.

Timetables

Classes on Mondays and Wednesdays will be held from 14 PM to 18 PM for the Barbering, Hair Removal, Eyebrow Design, and Braiding courses. Music Production classes will be held from 18 PM to 20 PM.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Makeup and Nail Design classes take place from 14 pm to 18 pm, while LIBRAS (Brazilian Sign Language) will be offered from 15 pm to 17 pm.
