JUVRio and MAR open registrations for the Training Pathways program, with a scholarship of R$ 750 for young people aged 16 to 21.

Applications are open until July 31st for the 2026 Training Pathways program, a project of the Escola do Olhar (School of the Gaze) at the Rio Art Museum (MAR) in partnership with the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Youth Secretariat (JUVRio) and the creativity school Co.liga. A total of 10 scholarships are available for young people interested in building a professional career in the areas of art, culture, and the creative economy. During the four-month training program, selected participants will receive a monthly stipend of R$ 750.

Young people aged 16 to 21, enrolled in public schools in Rio de Janeiro in the morning or evening shifts, or who have completed high school in the public school system in the last two years, can participate. In this edition, three of the ten places will be prioritized for residents of the Central and Port region of the city, strengthening the project's relationship with the territory where MAR is located.

What is the Training Pathways course?

Held between August 13th and November 27th, the Training Pathways program provides an immersive experience in the workings of a museum, introducing young people to different career paths. Throughout the course, participants will engage with areas such as curating, museology, research, education, communication, cultural production, artistic practices, administration, and operations through classes, workshops, lectures, labs, and practical activities led by museum professionals.

In addition to in-person and remote training, students will also have access to supplementary courses on the Co.liga platform, expanding the development of skills focused on culture, communication, entrepreneurship, and the creative economy.
