- Maravalley is a venue for innovation events, following the Web Summit Rio.
The event is expected to bring together around a thousand participants for more than 30 hours of content. Credit: Press Release/ Maravalley Maravalley, an innovation hub in Rio de Janeiro's port area that connects technology companies and academia, has scheduled a series of meetings, starting on June 1st, to connect startups, companies, investors, researchers, and industry leaders. The events begin before the start of the fourth edition of Web Summit Rio 2026, the largest international technology and innovation conference, which returns to the city for its fourth edition, from June 8th to 11th, at Riocentro.
The meetings at the hub begin with Maravalley Week, from June 1st to 3rd, a networking platform that aims to anticipate and amplify the impact of the Web Summit in the city, with strategic connections and real opportunities. The event expects to bring together around a thousand participants in more than 30 hours of content, distributed across three thematic stages and a 3.000 m² area dedicated to innovation. On June 2nd, the Web Summit Warm-up welcomes the specialized audience that will be in the city for the international event.
After a brief interruption due to the Corpus Christi holiday, the schedule of meetings at Maravalley will resume on June 8th with the Open Day, which will bring together delegations and partners of the fourth edition of Web Summit Rio 2026. The hub in the Port Zone will also host the Mayors of the Future event on the 10th and 11th, a space for presenting and sharing knowledge and technological solutions for municipal management. The AI After Party, on the 11th, will close the week promoting networking and celebration among the actors in the ecosystem.
– The Web Summit Rio has consolidated the city as one of the main global references in technology and innovation, with editions confirmed until 2030. And Maravalley emerges as the ideal environment to amplify this innovative atmosphere that will take over Rio in the coming days. We are strengthening the innovation ecosystem, promoting strategic connections and bringing entrepreneurs from Rio and Brazil closer to the biggest players in the global market – highlights Osmar Lima, Municipal Secretary of Economic Development.
– Innovation and technology events strengthen Rio's position as an international hub for business and knowledge. The concentration of these initiatives during the Web Summit period reinforces Rio's capacity to host large business meetings in a coordinated and connected way across the city's different territories – says Bernardo Fellows, president of Riotur.
Events reinforce Maravalley's reputation as a technology leader.
The week at the Rio Port hub is expected to attract around a thousand participants, the estimated audience for Maravalley Week. The event includes panels, masterclasses, workshops, presentations of technological solutions, networking sessions, pitches, and networking experiences, structured in tracks that reflect the main market themes, such as Artificial Intelligence and Data; Energy and Data Centers; Digital Transformation and New Technologies; Corporate Innovation and Startups; Sustainability, Climate and Impact; Creative Economy and Technology; Public Policies, Regulation and Innovation; Cybersecurity and Digital Infrastructure; and Future of Work and New Skills.
“We’re not just proposing an event. We’re talking about creating an environment where connections truly happen, between startups, companies, investors, and those who are building the future of technology in Brazil. Maravalley was created with this role of being a meeting point. Maravalley Week is a way to materialize this, bringing together the right people at the right time to generate the connections that drive the ecosystem,” says Daniel Barros, CEO of Maravalley.
