Residents of Barra and Recreio praise the Luz Maravilha program

New lighting has brought more security to residents - Rio City Hall Residents and drivers who travel through Barra da Tijuca and Recreio dos Bandeirantes celebrate the arrival of the Luz Maravilha program in these two neighborhoods. For most, the new LED lights that were installed have brought greater safety.
– The difference is impressive. Before, we were afraid to walk down these streets at night, and now they look like first-world avenues. It’s literally a marvel – said resident Sandra Alves.
According to Rioluz, the installation of 226 LED points has already been completed on Salvador Allende Avenue. A total of 782 new light points are expected to be installed, with completion scheduled for the first half of December. On Embaixador Abelardo Bueno Avenue, the replacement of 246 light points with LED lamps has been completed.
– These avenues are very busy and, with LED lighting, visibility improves a lot, as does the feeling of safety. This is the Luz Maravilha program – celebrated the deputy mayor of Barra da Tijuca, Raphael Lima.
