Motorcyclist arrested in Cidade Nova with license plate covered by plastic bag.
The Rio Municipal Guard (GM-Rio) recorded the taking of a motorcyclist to the police station on Sunday (January 25th) after he was caught driving a motorcycle with the license plate covered by a plastic bag, in Cidade Nova, in the central region of the city.
Guards from the Special Operations Group (GOE) caught the suspect driving a motorcycle with the license plate covered on Avenida Presidente Vargas. The man ignored the order to stop until he reached a building on Rua Júlio do Carmo. When approached, he said he covered the license plate to avoid water splashes.
The case was registered at the 6th Police Station (Cidade Nova) for tampering with the identifying marks of a motor vehicle (article 311 of the Penal Code).
