The Navezinha Carioca Prazeres, located in Morro dos Prazeres, in Santa Teresa, has been expanded by the Municipal Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation of Rio (SMCT). The space now has a new LAN table room and audiovisual and podcast production studios.

This expansion is another important step in the commitment of the Rio de Janeiro City Hall, through SMCT, to democratize access to technology and create growth prospects for the city's population.

– Expanding access to technology and training opportunities is fundamental to promoting digital inclusion and boosting regional development. With this initiative, we strengthen the innovation ecosystem and expand training possibilities in digital production, always with the support of qualified instructors and a methodology focused on the social and professional transformation of the participants – stated the interim Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation, Diego Lopes Rosa.

Navezinha is located at Rua Gomes Lopes, 12, Santa Teresa, near the Amália Fernandes Conde Integrated Education Development Center.

The Municipal Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation of Rio has 18 "Little Carioca Ships," smaller versions of the "Knowledge Ships," which offer free internet access and courses with content related to the digital world.

The "Little Ships" aim to increase the reach of the "Knowledge Ships" program, promoting digital inclusion, access to technology, and professional training. These spaces are located throughout the city of Rio de Janeiro: South, North, West, and Southwest zones. For more information, visit navedoconhecimento.rio.
