Ramos Swimming Pool begins to undergo maintenance services from Monday

Maintenance services at Piscinão de Ramos begin on Monday (21/10) - Rio City Hall

In preparation for summer, starting on Monday (21/10), the Piscinão de Ramos, in the North Zone, will begin undergoing maintenance services. The lake will need to be emptied for cleaning the bottom and preventive repair of equipment.

– This is a routine service that we perform every year and will leave the Piscinão de Ramos ready for the summer. Cleaning the lake and maintaining the equipment are important to maintain the quality of the water. We will start emptying the Piscinão this Monday – explained the president of the Rio-Águas Foundation, Wanderson Santos.

Maintenance services are scheduled annually. The Rio-Águas Foundation is responsible for treating the salt lake water, which is done in partnership with the concessionaire Águas do Rio. The work also has the support of Comlurb. The work is expected to be completed in the second half of November.

– Annual maintenance of the Ramos Pool is a fundamental and necessary service to keep everything ready for residents of the North Zone and tourists to enjoy the summer. Today, the Pool represents an identity of the region, a place for leisure and fun – said the deputy mayor of the North Zone, Luiz Miranda.

The Piscinão is supplied with 30 million liters of water from Guanabara Bay, which are treated at the Piscinão de Ramos Water Treatment Plant. Treatment is carried out daily and the quality of the water is constantly monitored.
