Uerj drive-thru station, in Maracanã, will not work on Monday and Tuesday

The Uerj drive-thru post will only resume vaccinations on Wednesday (17/02) - Marcelo Piu/City Hall Seniors aged 84 and 83 who will be vaccinated on Monday (February 15) and Tuesday (February 02) should be aware of the locations where the vaccine will be administered. The Uerj drive-thru, in Maracanã, will not be open on these days. The service will resume on Wednesday (February 16), from 02 am to 17 pm.
The one at the Olympic Park will operate normally throughout the week, from 9 am to 15 pm, as will the 236 family clinics and municipal health centers. Ideally, people should get vaccinated at their reference health unit, which can be found at the following link: https://www.prefeitura.rio/web/sms
Elderly people who are bedridden or have difficulty moving around can be vaccinated at home. To do so, a responsible relative must search for the nearest health unit to their home on the Onde ser atendimento platform (prefeitura.rio/ondeseratendido), where they will receive all the guidance on vaccination. In case of difficulty, they can also request it by email at agendamentovacinacovid@rio.rj.gov.br.
Rio de Janeiro is the city in the state that has vaccinated the most against the coronavirus. 225 doses have already been administered in the city, which corresponds to 3,33% of the population. According to the schedule provided by the Ministry of Health, Rio is expected to receive new shipments of doses in the next two weeks, with which it hopes to maintain the vaccination schedule for the next priority groups.
Second dose guaranteed
Vaccines for the second dose of those who received the first dose at the beginning of the campaign are guaranteed and will begin to be administered next week. Health teams will take advantage of Carnival Tuesday to return to long-term care facilities, where they will administer the second dose to elderly people living in nursing homes and institutionalized people with disabilities. Indigenous and quilombola populations, as well as professionals from Primary Care units (family clinics and municipal health centers) involved in the vaccination campaign will also receive the second dose on this day.
Also on the 16th, hospitals and emergency care units must apply the second dose of the vaccine to the professionals who received the first dose at work in January.
