age, which constitutes an environmental crime. The City Hall had to act quickly, since the area has been suffering greatly from the expansion of new irregular construction of properties.
The perpetrator of the environmental crime spent around R$70 on the purchase of timber alone, which demonstrates the high financial standard of the invasion. The municipal secretary for the Environment, Eduardo Cavaliere, accompanied the action and said that the department remains firm in its tough defense of the Environment.
– The department gave all the necessary warnings that the citizen who committed this crime should demolish the structure and recover the area. We will no longer tolerate this type of nonsense.
According to the Environmental Defense coordinator, Colonel José Maurício Padrone, anyone who wants to build buildings in the city must observe urban and environmental criteria.
– It is extremely important that people do not carry out any type of deforestation or construction in green areas. Seek guidance from environmental agencies so that the work is not embargoed or demolished. Anyone who does not follow the law will suffer the penalties provided for.
