Rio City Hall wins Infosfera 2025 Award for Good Practices in Information Management in the Public Sphere

The award recognized best practices in areas such as public management, digital transparency, electronic governance, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and digital inclusion. At an awards ceremony held in Curitiba, the Rio de Janeiro City Hall's Transparency Portal won the first edition of the Infosfera Good Practices Award, which included the participation of various areas of public management.
The Rio de Janeiro City Hall won the Infosfera Best Practices Award for its initiative "Evidence-Driven Transparency: The Evolution of the Rio Transparency Portal Based on Performance Assessments," recognized as one of the country's best experiences in information management in public administration. The results of the first edition of the award were presented during the Infosfera 2025 Congress, held this week in Curitiba. The award recognized best practices in areas such as public management, digital transparency, e-governance, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital inclusion.
The winning initiatives were selected after a rigorous evaluation process and presented during the event, with the aim of giving visibility to the innovation and sharing experiences with other professionals and researchers.
The Congress on Information Management in the Public Sphere is one of the fronts of Infosfera, a pioneering initiative in Brazil conceived by the Center for Research in Information, Law and Society (Infojus), of the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), in partnership with several institutions committed to excellence in the management of public information.
"This achievement reaffirms Rio's commitment to innovation, transparency, and the use of evidence to improve public policies, becoming a national benchmark and integrating the Good Practices Platform. These best practices recognized in the award guarantee Rio's citizens open, transparent, and participatory management," said Rodrigo Corrêa, Municipal Secretary of Integrity and Transparency.
