City Hall launches the notice for the IntegraRio 2024 program, which promotes access and metropolitan integration through sponsorships

The City of Rio, through the Special Secretariat for Metropolitan Integration (SEIM), has launched the call for proposals for the second edition of the IntegraRio 2024 program. The initiative aims to encourage unity between the people of Rio de Janeiro and the state of Rio de Janeiro, demonstrating the importance of building collective experiences. The call for proposals will select and sponsor up to 180 projects focused on sustainable urban development, with an emphasis on the economic, social, environmental and institutional dimensions, which strengthen the dissemination, cooperation, development and integration of the city of Rio with other municipalities and institutions in the state. In the first edition, in 2022, more than 42 cities were impacted by the project, with approximately 355 events and integrative actions, with an investment of over R$10 million by the City, strengthening several sectors and generating hundreds of jobs.

– The city of Rio de Janeiro, as a reference and state capital, has a long history of having the mission and the need to lead the process of enhancing the scope of its actions in a way that influences municipalities, especially those in the metropolitan region, in the process of governmental cooperation and integration. We have made progress due to the legacy of Mayor Eduardo Paes’ administration with yet another contribution to Rio’s leading role. With an increased budget, in the year in which our city is listed as a world capital through the G20, our department will continue to sponsor projects that will thus strengthen the UN’s 2030 Agenda for sustainable development – ​​stated the Secretary of Metropolitan Integration, Marcos Dias.

According to the secretary, the 2024 edition will have a reach three times greater than the previous one. This year's resources for sponsorships are R$30 million, divided into six quotas. The first, of R$25 thousand; the second, of R$50 thousand; the third, of R$100 thousand; the fourth, of R$200 thousand; the fifth, of R$300 thousand; and the sixth and last, of R$500 thousand reais.

Projects selected by IntegraRio 2024 will have access to sponsorships for social, educational, environmental, cultural, sports, tourism and social inclusion events. Developed by the Public Call Notice, it allows the registration of the most diverse projects in three categories (entrepreneurship, events and social inclusion), in a democratic and transparent way. Registrations are free and will be made within a period of 30 calendar days, through the online registration system, the link for which will be available at SEIM website until 23:59 p.m. on April 12, 2024.
