The city government is carrying out a special cleanup operation in Morro do Adeus, in the Complexo do Alemão favela.

The Rio de Janeiro City Hall, through the Subprefecture of Large Complexes, in partnership with Comlurb, held another edition of the "Community Responsibility" program this Saturday (March 28th) in Morro do Adeus, in the Complexo do Alemão. The action reinforced urban cleaning services in the region, with the mobilization of 161 sanitation workers who worked on fronts such as sweeping, mowing — including in hard-to-reach areas using rappelling —, mechanical weeding, cleaning drains, washing with reused water, and waste removal. According to the subprefect of Large Complexes, Marlí Peçanha, the initiative has a direct impact on the quality of life of the population.

"This work in the communities contributes to cleaner, more organized environments, free from disease-carrying vectors," he emphasized.

The president of Comlurb, Renato Rodrigues, also highlighted the importance of integrated action.

"Our commitment is to continue promoting initiatives that generate more health, well-being, and dignity for the residents," he stated.

In recent months, the Community Responsibility program has already been implemented in other areas, such as the Lins, Manguinhos, and Jacarezinho complexes. The actions are planned in conjunction with residents and local leaders, ensuring greater efficiency and alignment with the needs of each community.
