The Corridors of Excellence program brings janitorial services to Catete.

The operation focuses teams on Rua Silveira Martins, between Rua do Catete and Rua Bento Lisboa - Jonas Monteiro/Subprefecture of the South Zone

The South Zone Subprefecture, together with the Local Executive Management (GEL) Botafogo, started this week another edition of the Corridors of Excellence Program, in Catete. The action concentrates teams and services from different municipal bodies on Rua Silveira Martins, in the section between Rua do Catete and Rua Bento Lisboa, with an intensive operation that will continue until this Friday (14).

Urban maintenance services will be carried out, such as street cleaning and washing, unclogging drains and sewers, tree pruning, enforcement against illegal parking, maintenance of public lighting, and conservation repairs, bringing together various work fronts in the same area.

The initiative involves the integrated work of Comlurb (Rio de Janeiro's municipal cleaning company), the Municipal Secretariat for Conservation, Rioluz (Rio's lighting company), CET-Rio (Rio de Janeiro's traffic engineering company), and the Municipal Guard, with the teams coordinating and the region's needs being monitored by the South Zone Subprefecture.

According to the sub-mayor of the South Zone, Pedro Angelito, the new edition of the Corridors of Excellence reinforces the City Hall's commitment to a more integrated and efficient approach in the neighborhoods.

"The proposal is to combine planning and execution so that different City Hall teams can work in a coordinated manner on the same street. This way, we can address different needs simultaneously. This integration optimizes the teams' work, speeds up problem-solving, and provides faster improvements for residents," stated Pedro Angelito.

The Corridors of Excellence program schedule already serves different neighborhoods in the South Zone throughout the year. Each week, a specific street receives the services in a concentrated manner, based on requests made by the population through the 1746 Call Center and through monitoring carried out by the South Zone Subprefecture teams.
