New Year's Eve 2026: 700 cameras from the Operations Center monitored the stages of the party.

The Rio Operations Center monitored the entire New Year's Eve 2026 celebration in the city. A total of 700 cameras were used at locations with stages for the New Year's Eve festivities, with 307 cameras in Copacabana alone. The area was reinforced with drones and cameras with super zoom capabilities to track the arrival and dispersal of the crowd.

COR-Rio also had an advanced base in the neighborhood to monitor the images and immediately activate operational teams in case of any emergencies. They were also essential in monitoring the main traffic blockades on access roads to the Copacabana neighborhood.

More than 16 information panels spread throughout the city, including in Copacabana, were used to communicate the services available for returning home on this first day of the year.

More than 200 operators from various departments and operational bodies of Rio City Hall were on duty at the COR headquarters, in Cidade Nova, and had an overview of the parties held throughout the city.

Traffic proceeded as planned, with road closures implemented at the scheduled times, as well as the reopening of access to Copacabana at 5:00 AM, as programmed. Traffic flow was heavy, but localized, in Botafogo.
