Rio Innovation Week, the largest technology, business, and creativity gathering in Latin America, takes place from August 12th to 15th at Pier Mauá, bringing together transformative initiatives that shape the future of cities and the market. Amidst panels, experiences, and global connections, the City of Rio, through Riotur and the Secretariat of Economic Development, will be present with the Rio No Clima Arena, located at Armazém 5, featuring a program that combines tourism, business, culture, sustainability, and innovation.

Over the four days, the Arena will host 32 panels featuring approximately 70 speakers, promoting debates on key topics for Rio's development. Featured topics include AI, business tourism, Afrotourism, sporting and cultural events, smart cities, creativity, sustainability, destination marketing, the economy, inclusion, LGBTQIAPN+ tourism, public policy, and the use of data in tourism planning.

Among the confirmed names are Osmar Lima (Municipal Secretary of Economic Development - SMDE), Isabel Gimenes (president of RIOinclui, a civil, philanthropic and non-profit association whose honorary president is the first lady of the municipality, Cristine Paes, and whose target audience is people with disabilities and their families), Anna Aneliza Lima (CFO Lev Bicicletas), Carlos Galvão (Ironman Brasil), Chris Garman and Clayton Allen (Eurasia Group), Luiz Antonio Simas (historian), Duda Magalhães (Dream Factory), Chicão Bulhões (PRIO), among other representatives from the public and private sectors.

"Rio Innovation Week fosters strategic partnerships, attracts investment, and strengthens Rio's image as a city poised to lead transformations and generate opportunities in various areas of tourism. Riotur's participation in the event, with its own arena and content curation—marking the launch of the Rio Climate campaign—reinforcing our strategy of consolidating the city as a hub for smart, sustainable, and creative tourism. It's especially significant that this event takes place here, positioning the city at the center of discussions on innovation, business, technology, and the future," said Bernardo Fellows, president of Riotur.

On this occasion, Riotur launches the "No Clima do Rio" campaign, a new institutional communication strategy that aims to position and consolidate Rio as a global and prepared city, with cutting-edge infrastructure to welcome both national and international tourists and the locals themselves.

The campaign brings together ten essential pillars of the city experience — lifestyle, music, gastronomy, sports, adventure, nature, business, events, entertainment, and investments — with the aim of promoting the Rio brand in an integrated and contemporary way, valuing its diversity, economic, and cultural vocations.

"With the Rio Climate campaign, we promote the city with a contemporary language that reflects its diversity and potential across multiple sectors. By integrating leisure and business tourism, innovation, and investment opportunities, we reaffirm Rio as a complete destination—not only for living and visiting, but also for entrepreneurship, investment, and prosperity." —Renata Paes Leme, Marketing Director at Riotur.

Participation in the event is part of the City Hall's efforts to consolidate Rio as a global reference in smart, sustainable and creative tourism, with actions that bring together public authorities, the private sector and civil society.

The “No Clima do Rio” arena is open to all Rio Innovation Week accredited participants, with no need to register specifically for the debates.
