RioLuz launches the Crias da Luz Project to train public lighting agents in Rio.

RioLuz (Municipal Energy and Lighting Company) launched on Saturday (March 7th) the Crias da Luz Project, a practical training program aimed at working in the area of ​​public lighting in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

The project registered almost 3 applications, highlighting the strong interest of young people and adults in training and productive inclusion. After the selection process, 360 agents and 120 monitors were chosen to work in more than 90 communities covered by the initiative.

The initiative was born as one of the company's broader actions focused on human development, expanding the presence of public lighting in an efficient, citizen-oriented way, connected to the needs of communities.

According to Rafael Thompson, president of RioLuz, the project represents an important step in bringing the company closer to the population and generating opportunities.

– The Crias da Luz program is more than just a training program. It's an initiative that brings knowledge, creates opportunities, and strengthens RioLuz's connection with the territories. By training young people and adults from the communities themselves, we expand the care for public lighting and contribute to the social development of the city – highlighted the president.

Participants will receive practical training and mentoring to act as agents and monitors, contributing to actions related to public lighting and the care of urban spaces in the regions.
