RioLuz carried out a public lighting maintenance operation on Paquetá Island. A technical team from the company traveled to the island to perform a complete overhaul of the luminaires, which total 930 LED points distributed throughout the streets, squares, and public areas of the region.

The operation stands out for its logistical complexity. All the necessary materials, including tools, equipment, as well as the support truck and technical team, need to be transported by ferry from the Ilha do Governador Ferry Station (Praia do Zumbi). Without direct road access, Paquetá requires a carefully planned operation, which makes the work technically challenging and, at the same time, a demonstration of how the Rio de Janeiro City Hall maintains public service infrastructure in island territories.

Small, charming, and historic, Paquetá Island is one of the city's most traditional tourist destinations. Known for its car-free streets, bucolic atmosphere, and rich cultural heritage, Paquetá preserves an emotional connection that spans generations.

– Maintaining public lighting plays an essential role not only in the safety of residents, but also in the experience of visitors seeking the charm and tranquility of the place – highlights Rafael Thompson, president of RioLuz.

The operation takes place on the eve of Paquetá's anniversary, celebrated on December 18th, which reinforces the importance of the work.
