RioLuz has completed the work to reinforce and modernize public lighting along the axis between Rua São Francisco Xavier and Praça Afonso Pena, in Tijuca. The intervention included the expansion of the lighting infrastructure on strategic roads in the region, with the installation of 117 new pieces of equipment, including LED luminaires and high-power projectors, providing greater efficiency, uniformity of light and better visibility at night.

Ninety LED streetlights and 27 floodlights were installed, in addition to 90 tree trimming operations, an essential measure to eliminate interference with public lighting. The service also included the installation of two new light poles. In total, the operation involved 243 technical interventions, promoting the requalification of urban lighting in one of the main circulation areas of Tijuca.

– Reinforcing public lighting is a strategic tool for urban planning and supporting the integrated actions of the City Hall. We are investing in technology and efficiency to offer increasingly well-lit public spaces, better prepared to serve the population – concluded the president of RioLuz, Rafael Thompson.
