Sorocaba Street, in Botafogo, will receive interventions from the Corridors of Excellence program this Wednesday (July 15th), which brings tree pruning, cleaning, conservation, drain unclogging, lighting repairs and traffic management services to the street. The action, coordinated by the South Zone Subprefecture in partnership with the Botafogo Local Executive Management (GEL), occupies the stretch between Mena Barreto and General Polidoro streets until next Friday (July 17th).

The Corridors of Excellence program brings together municipal agencies to perform simultaneous services in the same location, speeding up repairs and maintenance. The service involves the participation of Comlurb (municipal cleaning company), the Municipal Secretariat of Conservation, Rioluz (electricity company), the Municipal Secretariat of Public Order (Seop), CET-Rio (traffic engineering company), and the Municipal Guard.

The sub-mayor of the South Zone, Pedro Angelito, emphasizes that the service schedule is defined based on requests registered at the 1746 Call Center, and on monitoring carried out by the sub-mayor's field teams.

"The Subprefecture plans, requests, and coordinates the work of each agency so that they act simultaneously. This integration reduces execution time and avoids rework, guaranteeing faster results for the population," stated the subprefect.

The initiative has already covered more than 70 locations, encompassing neighborhoods in the South Zone and communities such as Rocinha, Pavão-Cantagalo, Tabajaras, and Morro Azul.
