The Rio de Janeiro Special Secretariat for Metropolitan Integration will hold the seminar "Youth 14: Between Screens and Paths – Disconnecting to Reconnect" on Monday (July 07th), from 14:17 p.m. to 4.0:1 p.m., at the Auditorium of the Museum of Tomorrow, Praça Mauá, XNUMX – Centro, Rio de Janeiro – RJ. The objective of the meeting is to disseminate information on effective actions and best practices implemented by the public sector to help young people adapt to the rapid changes in the digital world. And, based on these best practices, encourage young people to develop their talents for the technological challenges of today's job market.

The Secretariat also hopes that the seminar will serve as an incentive for public administrators, civil society organizations, and leaders from the Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Region to join forces in this fight, exploring their cities' potential for ecotourism and attracting society to outdoor leisure options.

"The Youth 4.0 Agenda is crucial to ensuring that young people are prepared for the future of work, preventing unemployment and social exclusion. By investing in training and skills development, society ensures that the new generation can seize the opportunities of Industry 4.0 and contribute to economic and social development in the age of automation and artificial intelligence," says Cynthia Felix, Secretary of Metropolitan Integration.

Representatives from four municipal departments will participate in the seminar. Gabriella Rodrigues, Special Secretary for Rio's Youth, will discuss training courses offered at Youth Spaces to prepare young people for the challenges of this new technological era in the market. Also present at the panel will be Tatiana Roque, Municipal Secretary of Science, Technology, and Innovation, whose topic will be the Department's role in promoting the city's scientific and technological development and democratizing access to the digital world through the Knowledge Ships.

"In times of rapid transformation, it's urgent to prepare our youth for the challenges and opportunities of the digital age. Our mission remains alive: to work side by side with municipal leaders, developing public policies that open doors and broaden horizons. We want to ensure that every young person has access to the digital world without losing touch with what's essential—the touch of nature, the gaze of greenery, the silence of trails," says Cynthia Felix, Secretary of Metropolitan Integration.

Fabiana Misse, marketing director at Rio's Municipal Tourism Department, will discuss the development of outdoor tourism activities in the city. Also participating in the panel will be Luiz Cruz, an entrepreneur and ecotourism consultant specializing in quality of life and the development of outdoor activities. His topic will be ecotourism as a tool to combat the overuse of the digital world.

The event will also feature the presentation of the “SEIM Integrando Ações” award, which will honor projects and campaigns in the Rio Metropolitan Region with a trophy, in recognition of successful initiatives in the training and employability of youth in this Industry 4.0 work scenario, and also in raising awareness of balance, promoting quality of life and social reconnection with nature.
