SEOP and GM issued over 2.500 fines over the weekend, and nine parking attendants were taken to police stations.

The Municipal Secretariat of Public Order (SEOP) and the Municipal Guard were active throughout the weekend (December 6th and 7th), carrying out urban order enforcement actions, inspections, and combating illegal parking attendants and parking violations along Rio's coastline. These actions are part of Operation Summer, initiated by the Rio City Hall on September 5th. The operations also extended to other parts of the city, due to events such as Aerofla, football matches in Rio stadiums, and the inauguration of the Christmas tree at Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas. In total, SEOP and the Municipal Guard issued more than 2.500 fines for various traffic violations, and nine illegal parking attendants were taken to police stations. The teams also removed 50 vehicles parked illegally.

In São Conrado, SEOP and GM agents fined 35 motorcycles for illegal parking on the beach access ramp. During operations at various points in the city, agents from the Urban Control Coordination (CCU) seized approximately 500 items such as gas cylinders, tables and chairs, barbecues, and cargo carts.

Over the weekend alone, teams from the Integrated Territorial Actions Coordination (CATI) approached a total of 641 people. These actions were carried out with the support of social workers, and eight citizens accepted municipal shelter. Another 68 people had their criminal records checked, and approximately 6 items were discarded. Agents also seized five replica firearms, more than 100 knives or sharp objects, and items for drug use.

It's worth remembering that the operations involved the use of drones, and SEOP agents worked from the Operations and Resilience Center to guide officers who were in the streets.

The Municipal Guard has issued over 110 traffic tickets for various traffic violations throughout the city since September 5th. During this period, agents involved in the operation distributed over 12 identification bracelets on the beaches and in the city's parks. Thanks to this service, it was possible to reunite more than 39 children and teenagers with their guardians. In addition to the coastline in the South and Southwest zones, Operation Summer is also being carried out in Madureira Mestre Monarco Park, Deodoro Radical Park, West Park, Realengo Jornalista Susana Naspolini Park, Rita Lee Olympic Park, and Pavuna Carioca Park; as well as the coastline of Ilha do Governador and Ilha de Paquetá. The action involves the Secretariats of Public Order (SEOP), CET-Rio, the Municipal Guard, and the Municipal Secretariat of Transportation.
