Cars are towed in a Seop operation - Disclosure / Rio City Hall The Municipal Department of Public Order (Seop) removed seven vehicles during a law enforcement action carried out on Estrada do Itararé, in Ramos, North Zone of Rio, on the morning of this Friday (11/06). The action was carried out in conjunction with the Pacifying Police Unit (UPP) of Nova Brasília.
Another eight vehicles were fined by agents and removed by the Parking and Towing Inspection Coordination (CFER), linked to Seop, after irregularities such as parking on the sidewalk were flagged.
Rocinha Action
On Thursday (10/06), Seop had already removed 22 vehicles parked illegally on Estrada da Gávea, one of the accesses to Rocinha, in the South Zone of Rio. Another nine were fined for parking on the sidewalk, in loading and unloading spaces and in prohibited places.
The action, which had the support of the Rocinha Pacification Police Unit (UPP) and the Rocinha Local Executive Management (GEL), was in response to complaints sent by the population through the Rio City Hall's 1746 Call Center.
