The action dismantled an irregular car wash in Freguesia - Rio City Hall

With support from the Department of Public Order, the Municipal Guard and the 18th Military Police Battalion, the Jacarepaguá Subprefecture carried out another urban planning operation in the region on the morning of Tuesday (09/03). A car wash installed illegally on the sidewalk of Estrada da Guanumbi, on the corner of Rua Timboaçu, in Freguesia, was dismantled. Teams from Light and Cedae monitored the operation and cut off the electricity and water connections. The material was removed by Comlurb.

“The government is back. We will not give up on doing what is right,” says Jacarepaguá Deputy Mayor Talita Galhardo, emphasizing that actions will be routine to maintain order in the neighborhood.

This was the third car wash to be dismantled in the region. Soon after, there was a clean-up operation on Rua Araticum, in Anil, to prevent illegal parking on the left side of the road, towards Estrada do Quitite. More than eight vehicles were fined and six were towed, in just one hour of operation.

GM and Seop trailers will remain on site to ensure drivers respect the signs and parking ban, allowing vehicles to flow in both directions on the street.

Operations have already been carried out to prevent illegal parking on streets in Freguesia, Muzema, Rio das Pedras and now in Anil. Other actions are scheduled for the coming days.
