Satellite Ships encourage digital, scientific and technological training of the population - Beth Santos/City of Rio The Municipal Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (SMCTI), through the Naves Satélites and Navezinhas Cariocas, is accepting applications for more than 3.400 vacancies in various free courses and workshops in the areas of technology and entrepreneurship. The courses provide qualifications for young people and adults in information technology for integration into the job market.
– We are investing in education and technology to transform lives, ensuring that young people and adults have access to the necessary tools and digital inclusion for better qualifications and placement in the job market – said Tatiana Roque, Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation of Rio de Janeiro.
The three Satellite Ships are open to the general public from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 17 pm, and on Saturdays, from 8 am to 12 pm. The Carioca Ships are open from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 17 pm. All units have a space with computers for free internet access with guidance from a user support team.
Among the courses and workshops offered by Naves Satélites and Navezinhas Cariocas are: Instagram for Business, Notions of 3D Modeling and Printing, Unraveling the GPT Chat, Online Chess, Improve your Resume with Artificial Intelligence, Capcut for TikTok, among others.
