Knowledge Naves opens registrations for seven thousand places in free technology courses

The Naves do Conhecimento have vacancies open in several courses - Wallace Alvarenga/City Hall of Rio The Municipal Department of Science and Technology (SMCT), through the Knowledge Ships, is accepting applications for seven thousand vacancies in several free courses in the areas of technology and entrepreneurship. The courses will be held in person and online. Free lectures and workshops are also available in the program offered for the month of October. The Ships act as training and inclusion centers for the population, providing practical knowledge for those who wish to grow professionally.
– I am 52 years old and I feel completely ready to face new challenges in the market after learning from the computer courses. It is my main area of interest and I am specializing in order to work professionally. I recommend it to anyone who is looking to reenter the job market at any age and who, like me, did not have access to technological resources – revealed Ronaldo Campos, a student of the Introduction to Computer Assembly, Maintenance and Support course at Nave de Irajá.
Among the topics offered by Naves are: Kids' Computing, Senior Computing, Computing to Work, Scratch: Programming for children, Whatsapp Marketing, Computer Operator, Computer Maintenance, Programming Logic, Excel for Selection Processes, Introduction to Excel, Programming in Python, Cell Phone Photography, Photography Fundamentals, Canva, Photoshop, Game Development, Resume and Portfolio Creation, Young Apprentice: Construction for the Job Market, among others.
– At my job, there was a phase in the selection process that talked about the Google Docs tool. Because I learned this content in the Nave course, I was able to stand out and had an advantage during the selection process. I was very happy to have taken the course – said Roger Vitorino, a student of the Digital Tools course at Nave do Engenhão.
Cine Nave with free film programming
The Naves do Conhecimento in Madureira, Padre Miguel, Santa Cruz, Triagem, Irajá and Vila Aliança also give visitors the opportunity to watch movies for free, with popcorn included. The sessions, with free admission, take place on Thursdays and Fridays, according to each unit's schedule.
